Judaism has vast range of beliefs and customs that are the DNA for the religion, but they too like many other religions have gone through many struggles because of what they believe. In the religion of Judaism, they have what is called the Thirteen Principles of Faith. The thirteen principles are: 1. There is a God 2. God is one and unique 3 Judaism is practiced by almost half of the country and is one of the oldest and biggest monistic religions. The laws they follow come from the Torah which comes straight from the Hebrew bible. This paper will consist of Jewish traditions regarding food preferences and avoidances, death/dying, communication, and grieving Judaism has survived throughout history by being flexible and by admitting foreign influences into its practice. Its success in the 21st century depends on its ability to continue doing this in response to the pressures of modernity.
